(不再)恐懼飛行

不知道誰是Gary Brooker? 那你至少聽過 Procol Harum 這個主要用電風琴、鋼琴雙鍵盤與吉他奇異編制的英國團體吧? 無論如何，你至少在廣告或配樂裏，聽過 A Whiter Shade of Pale 這首挪用Bach G 弦之歌名曲的電風琴間奏。電風琴不是Brooker 彈的，曲子卻是他唱的。

這張專輯，是這首名曲的主唱/鍵盤手 Gary Brooker，離開Procol Harum 之後，1979年首張單飛的代表作: "(No More) Fear of Flying。由Beatles 的製作人George Martin 擔綱操手，讓這張的progressive 味道不至於玩的過火。

飛行恐懼症可以是真實不過的，亦可以是一種隱喻，代表對死亡或人生「不可知」的部分，一種莫名的恐懼與焦慮。本沒有要特別介紹這張唱片，只是今天早上，突然感到和 title track 同樣的焦慮，歌曲中詼諧地面對荒謬的情境。

人生是一種異境，從異域到另一個異域的轉化，需要堅持，無須恐懼。
